Our Leadership Team

The team at The GEM Center are expertly trained in Education, Behavioral Analysis, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Social-Emotional Learning. We consistently collaborate with our learner’s families, schools and private therapists and pride ourselves on our whole-child, whole-family focus. We believe “it takes village”, and have a committed, interdisciplinary team to meet the unique needs of our learners.

The GEM Center Leadership & Management Team below is also supported by over 20 dedicated Learning Specialists. Each Learning Specialist has a relevant undergraduate degree and many have advanced certifications and/or are in Masters programs. Our Learning Specialists are integral to our programming and work with children in both 1:1 and small group settings.

Founder & Executive Director



Laura is a Sales, Product Development and Product Design consumer products executive and business owner with over 18 years of experience in her industry.  She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree in 2000 from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, and attended Kent State on a full academic/athletic, Division 1 Women’s Basketball scholarship.


As Executive Director, Laura is responsible for overseeing the administration and strategic plan of The GEM Center, and reports to the Board of Directors. Her other key duties include marketing, community and legislative outreach and fundraising.


Laura is also the proud Mom of two amazing daughters.

Chief Programs & Innovation Officer

Dr. Josh Pritchard, Ph.D, BCBA-D


Dr. Pritchard has 20 years of experience working with children, teens and adults with Autism, dual-diagnosis and learning differences in a wide variety of settings across the United States.


He is a published author, researcher, faculty member, global consultant, valued mentor, and entrepreneur dedicated to helping diverse and different learners reach their maximum potential and thrive in all environments. Dr. Pritchard is passionate about utilizing behavior analysis to enhance the education of learners who are otherwise unable to be served by the standard educational practices, and believes that every learner deserves a meaningful, voracious learning opportunity despite any differences. He believes the real power of behavior analysis lies in the ability to teach skills and build resiliency and confidence.


Dr. Pritchard earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Florida Institute of Technology, and his Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis from the University of Nevada, Reno. He is currently a faculty member of the University of Central Florida, Orlando after having been the chair of the Florida Institute of Technology’s Hybrid program, and the Program Director of Southern Illinois University’s hybrid degree program. Dr. Pritchard is the founder and owner of JKP Analysts and Lodestone Academy, and has also served as President of the Association for Science in Autism Treatment, on the Executive Council of the Association for Behavior Analysis International, President of the Tennessee Association for Behavior Analysis and was a member of the Supervision Task Force of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.


In his free time you can find Dr. Pritchard frequenting Escape rooms, jet-setting around the globe and spending time with his dog Jackson gardening in the backyard. He also loves chatting on social media platforms about behavior analysis, social skills development and social-emotional learning, and disseminating science to a wide range of professionals.

Senior Director of Programs & Branding

Miranda Foley, MS, BCBA


Miranda Foley, BCBA, has been practicing Applied Behavior Analysis in an educational and clinical setting in multiple states since 2010. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication, her Master of Science in Psychology and her Graduate Certification in Behavior Intervention in Autism. With her diverse background in Psychology, Communication and Applied Behavior Analysis Miranda specializes in working with children and teens across the Autism spectrum and co-occurring social and social-emotional challenges. 

Miranda is the former Clinical Director at Firefly Autism where she oversaw both their Early Intervention and School-Age Education programs, and collaborated with 11 Colorado school districts to provide exceptional services to children needing out of district placement. Miranda brings a wealth of knowledge across multiple disciplines, and is passionate about developing whole child programming with excellence and fidelity for dual-diagnosis children. She also takes great pride in her high-quality performance management philosophy, and has presented at Applied Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), and other national conferences. Miranda is also a member of COABA, and is an instructor in Professional Crisis Management (PCM) since 2012. 

In her free time Miranda loves to spend time with her family, and enjoys being an aunt to her niece and nephew. She also loves camping/hiking, playing golf and spending time in the great outdoors. 

Director of Educational Programming & Teacher

Stephanie Fenton

Stephanie is a Colorado Department of Education Certified Educator, and is one of The GEM Center's founding employees. Stephanie obtained her degree in Middle Level Teacher Education from Illinois State University, with a concentration in Math, Language Arts, and Reading. She has worked alongside special educators for her entire career in a co-taught classroom.  


Stephanie has worked with students from a variety of backgrounds including gifted & talented children, children with disabilities, inner-city youth, and children with English as a Second Language. She is passionate about helping her learners become successful life-long learners through alternate methods of teaching. Stephanie believes that teaching cannot be approached with a "one size fits all" mentality, because every child deserves an education that is personalized and treats them as an individual.

Stephanie loves to spend time with her family, especially her husband and young daughter. 

Manager of Social & Emotional Development

Abbi Romans, MS, CCC-SLP

Abbi has her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology and is a Colorado licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.


In her career Abbi has worked with many exceptional populations of school-aged learners ranging from ages 5-21, and has also worked in transition programming focused on the development of independent living skills, community access skills and vocation skills. She thrives on developing and furthering relationships with her learners in order to be able to watch each student grow and gain the confidence to live their best lives and reach their full, amazing potential. She is a passionate advocate for all of her learners and believes their programming must be personalized to incorporate their unique talents and special interests for maximum buy-in and fidelity. 


When she’s not at GEM Abbi takes every chance she gets to trek to the mountains to hike, backpack, kayak, and ski. She is filled with wanderlust and has traveled all across the U.S.A., as well as to many countries around the world. Abbi is also costume and toy enthusiast, board game fanatic, and avid concert-goer – GEM kiddos love her uniqueness.

Victoria is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science from the University of Kansas. She then received her Master of Science in Behavior Analysis and Therapy from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. 

Victoria comes to The GEM Center with over 6 years of experience having worked in a variety of settings with individuals with special needs. She has worked with individuals at school, in-home, residential, and center-based programs. Victoria is passionate about her work and is continuously driven by the growth of the individuals she works with. She believes that everyone deserves a change to learn and grow in a fun and safe environment.

Victoria enjoys spending time with her family, especially her husband and dog. She also enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and exploring new places.

Manager of Center Programs & Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Lindsey Gilbert, MS, BCBA, LBA

Lindsey is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She graduated with a Master’s in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and received her certification at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 


Lindsey has provided services to exceptional individuals of all ages in school,home and community settings and has also worked at the Kennedy Krieger Institute Neurobehavioral Inpatient Unit (NBU), which specializes in the assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior in individuals with developmental disabilities. Lindsey is also currently a member of the Colorado Dissemination Committee which assists in the distribution of behavior analytic information to those within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in the state of Colorado. Her interests and areas of expertise focus on conducting functional behavioral assessments, development of progressive and innovative intervention plans, and parent/staff training.


When she’s not at The GEM Center, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and exploring her new home – Colorado.

Senior Teaching Assistant


Laura is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and is one of The GEM Center’s founding employees. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications from North Dakota State, and holds Registered Behavior Technician credentials from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).  


Laura comes to The GEM Center with extensive experience working in pre-school and elementary classrooms. She loves to make a positive difference in the lives of the remarkable kids that we serve at GEM, and believes that every kid deserves an opportunity to grow and thrive in a happy and safe environment.  


Laura has three children, and she and her husband enjoy watching their boys play hockey. She also likes to read, shop, and garden.

Office & Billing Manager

Lisa Chipman

Lisa is The GEM Center's woman-of-all-trades and helps us manage our busy office. She has a Bachelor in Communication with a minor in Business from Arizona State University.


Lisa comes to GEM from the Douglas County School District and previously worked in Hospitality Management for Marriott and Hilton, and in Marketing Communications for Harris Corporation.


She has lived in nine states and has called Parker home for almost five years. In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and dog, traveling, hiking, cooking, and photography.

Learning Specialist & ABA Supervision Apprentice

Kaitlin Barbiere

Kaitlin is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice Studies and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati. She holds her Registered Behavior Technician credentials from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).


Kaitlin comes to The GEM Center with over two years of experience working with children on the Autism spectrum and in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Kaitlin loves to help kids achieve their goals and learn through social interaction and play.


When Kaitlin is not working, she loves to travel, ski, enjoy time outside with friends, take pictures, and watch “Friends”.

Nathan Burns

Nathan is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work, is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Special Education, and holds Registered Behavior Technician credentials from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).


Nathan comes to The GEM Center with over three years of experience working with children on the Autism spectrum both in school and in home. Nathan loves to provide kids with structure to ensure they always know what to expect in a variety of different life situations, and be able to thrive independently.


Nathan uses snowboarding and skateboarding as his creative outlet outside of work. He loves to teach kids and friends to snowboard, enjoys any time spent with an animal, and has fun filming skateboarding and snowboarding.
